Provider Information
- When you see a physician practice listed as a participating provider in the MedCost network,
remember that not every physician in that practice may be credentialed and considered an in-network provider.
If you select a physician that is not a Atrium Health/MedCost participating provider, your benefits may be reduced.
- When you arrive at a physician’s office, hospital, or facility, present your health insurance card bearing the
MedCost logo so the provider registers you as a MedCost participant. Before making an appointment with a physician,
you should confirm he or she is still a participating Atrium Health/MedCost provider.
- If you have any questions about the participation of a physician, hospital, or facility, please call MedCost Customer Service at 1-800-824-7406.
Non-Covered Services
Some Atrium Health/MedCost Network providers will extend discounted rates for services not covered by your health plan. Ask your health care provider if the MedCost discount will be honored.
Dental Providers
The Atrium Health/MedCost Network does not include dental providers. Please contact MedCost Benefit Services (1-800-795-1023) with questions about coverage for the services of these providers.
